The Fresno, Calif. market research firm says an impressive talent pool of technology and software engineering experts made Portland, Ore. an easy choice.
FRESNO, Calif. – October 1, 2008 – Decipher announced today the launch of its presence in the Pacific Northwest with the opening of an office in downtown Portland. The location will focus on new product development as well as enhancing Decipher’s current suite of market research tools.
The Portland-based facility will be led by Jayme Plunkett, Decipher’s co-founder and co-CEO. Plunkett oversees the development of state-of-the-art data collection and reporting solutions to the market research industry.
"While our service business realizes significant growth, Decipher is expanding our software investment so that we can offer online solutions for all our customers’ needs including the ability to program surveys themselves. The availability of technology talent coupled with a thriving metropolitan city made Portland an easy choice for our organization." says Plunkett.
Decipher’s Portland office will staff a development team with plans to increase the headcount within the first six months.
The Portland expansion marks the fourth regionalized base for the firm that’s continued its growth within the past year. In 2007, Decipher acquired Hollywood, Calif.-based Forefront Consulting Group and ended the year with adding a New York-based location to serve its east coast clientele. Decipher President Kristin Luck, an Oregon native, had her eye on Portland when the firm first discussed opening a Pacific Northwest location.
"I’ve always had a keen interest in Portland’s burgeoning business growth and the technology companies and talent that the city continues to attract. It’s an ideal location to further our software development efforts." says Luck.
